Fenerbahce confirm talks with Liverpool & West Ham target Simon Kjaer

Fenerbahce have released a statement to the Istanbul stock exchange confirming talks with Lille and Simon Kjaer are underway.

The statement reads, “Negotiations with Lille football club and their professional football player Simon Kjaer are underway.”

Kjaer is close to completing a move to Fenerbahce according to Eurosport TR.

The Istanbul Giants have agreed a €9 million fee for the Danish International with Lille. If Fenerbahce are win the Super Lig title in the 2015-16 season they will pay Lille an extra €1 million.

Kjaer has been offered a four-year deal with Fenerbahce at €4 million per season. The 26-year-old will also receive appearance bonuses.

Both Liverpool and West Ham United are also keen to sign Kjaer according to TalkSport. The Premier League side Southampton have also been linked with the Danish centre back as a replacement for Toby Alderweireld.

Kjaer scored three goals in 42 appearances for Lille in all competitions this season.
