Fenerbahce deny bid for Chelsea defender Zouma

Kurt Zouma

Fenerbahçe have released a statement on their official website denying making an offer for Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma.

The Yellow Canaries had been closely linked with a move for the young defender in the Turkish press.

Fenerbahçe also denied making a £2.5 million bid in the same statement and also ruled out moves for Maicon, Boita and Carlos Gil.

The Istanbul giants did not however, deny transfer speculation regarding Valencia winger Feghouli.

The Canaries have already made 10 transfers this season including Manchester United duo Robin van Persie and Luis Nani.

Fener have also signed Danish international Simon Kjaer, Brazil international Josef De Souza and four Bursaspor players including highly rated 20-year-old Ozan Tufan as well as last seasons top goal-scorer in the league Fernandao.

Last seasons Süper Lig runners-up have also parted ways with nine players including long-serving veterans Emre Belözoğlu and Selçuk Şahin.

Manager Ismail Kartal was also replaced with Portuguese head coach Vitor Pereira at the start of the season.
