Fenerbahce join race for Chelsea legend John Terry

Chelsea's defender John Terry receives a red card from Turkish referee Cuneyt Cakir

Fenerbahçe are targeting a January move for Chelsea defender John Terry according to the Mirror.

The Yellow Canaries could have stiff competition from Chinese clubs if the Blues do indeed decide to part ways with their long-term veteran.

Terry is no long first-choice at the reigning Premier League champions and will become a free agent at the end of the season.

Fenerbahçe have had a long standing love affair with the 34-year-old defender but transfer talks have never progressed to the stage of offering a contract previously.

The Canaries are lacking depth in defence and have already conceded six goals this season in the league as well as three against rivals Beşiktaş in the Istanbul derby on the weekend.

Terry has won four Premier League titles, five FA Cup trophies, the Champions League and the Europa League.

Fenerbahçe are currently second on goal difference in the Turkish Super League and will take on Celtic in the Europa League on Thursday.
