Fenerbahce manager complains about the pitch following Genclerbirligi loss [divider]
Fenerbahçe manager Ismail Kartal has complained about the state of the pitch following the 2-1 loss against Gençlerbirliği in the Süper Lig.
“We started the game well but the pitch was of a poor standard,” Kartal told Lig Tv after the game.
The Fenerbahçe boss did however, praise his opponents following the defeat.
“Our opponents put up a real fight but we squandered too many chances, we should have converted our chances,” he added.

The loss saw Fenerbahçe drop four points behind league leaders Beşiktaş.
The Yellow Canaries remain in third place following the loss, two points behind second placed Galatasaray.
The defeat was the Istanbul giants first in their last nine away games.
Fenerbahçe take on Beşiktaş next in the Istanbul derby and have the chance to close the gap with the league leaders to just one point.
