Fenerbahce on the hunt for a new striker in January
Fenerbahce General Secretary Mahmut Uslu has confirmed that Fenerbahce are on the hunt for a new striker in January.
“We are working towards signing a new striker but are unsure if we will be able to sign the player we want in January,” Uslu told NTVSpor.
“Clubs are unwilling to sell their players in January. We currently also have eight foreign players on our books.”
Fenerbahce have been linked heavily with the Palmeiras striker Jose Henrique and PSV’s 20-year-old Netherlands international Memphis Depay.
The Istanbul giants are currently at the top of the Turkish Super LEague with 36 points in 16 games.
