Fenerbahce prepare move for Real Madrid defender

Fenerbahce are planning to strengthen their defence in the summer with reports linking Caner Erkin and Bruno Alves with moves away from the club.

According to the daily Turkish newspaper Takvim, the Yellow Canaries are preparing a contract offer for Real Madrid’s experinced centre back Pepe.

The Portuguese international’s has a year remaining on his current deal with Real which may prove to be a stumbling block. Fenerbahce have however already held early talks with the Madrid based club.

Takvim go onto state that Fenerbahce are also interested in signing Fabio Coentrao who is set to leave Monaco in the summer.

Fenerbahce signed eight players earlier this season including Lille defender Simon Kjaer, 2014-15 Süper Lig top scorer Fernandao, Turkish international Şener Özbayraklı and Brazil international Josef De Souza.
