Fenerbahçe are preparing a bid for Olympiakos midfielder Jimmy Durmaz according to Turkish newspaper Sabah.
Durmaz joined the Greek champions on a £1.7 million move from Gençlerbirliği last season and still has three-years remaining on his contract.
The 25-year-old has experience playing in the Süper Lig and would be eligible to play as a domestic player.
Durmaz was born in Örebro, Sweden to Turkish parents from the Midyat region of Turkey.
The Swedish international has one goal in 10 appearances for the Greek giants this season.
Durmaz has scored twice in 13 international appearances for the Swedish national team.
Sweden have two players of Turkish origin in their current national team setup, Durmaz and Trabzonspor winger Erkan Zengin.
Fenerbahçe are currently first in the Süper Lig on 36 points and managed by Ismail Kartal.
The Yellow Canaries were closely linked with Zengin but Trabzonspor won the race to sign the Eskişehirspor winger.
