Fenerbahce set to sign Liverpool target Simon Kjaer tomorrow depending on medical

Liverpool transfer news Simon Kjaer

Fenerbahçe will complete the signing of Lille defender Simon Kjaer depending on the results of his medical tomorrow Tipsbladet journalist Gustav Tornby told Turkish-football.

The Yellow Canaries released a statement to the Istanbul stock exchange earlier today confirming talks with Lille and Simon Kjaer are underway.

“Will take medical tomorrow and be presented 14:00 (CET),” Tornby told Turkish-football.com.
Tornby also stated that he believes Kjaer will strengthen the Fenerbahçe defence.
“It is a fantastic signing for Fenerbahçe. Kjaer was in team of the year last season with Thiago Silva in central defence,” he added.
“He’s great in aerial duels and loves to battle against strong attackers.
“It is great for him as he will be playing in the Champions League at a club that will compete for the league title every year in a lovely city and a great stadium.
“He will also be the best paid player on the Danish national team so it is a win win scenario.”

Süper Lig clubs listed on the stock exchange generally release a statement confirming talks as a formality before announcing the completion of a transfer.

The statement read: “Negotiations with Lille football club and their professional football player Simon Kjaer are underway.”
