Fenerbahce still in title race says Emre Belozoglu [divider]
Fenerbahçe captain Emre Belözoğlu believes his side are still in the title race going into the Beşiktaş derby on the weekend.
The Yellow Canaries are currently in third place, four points behind league leaders Beşiktaş.
“We have 10 weeks left, we cannot afford any more slip ups but we have tended to do better in derbies this season,” Belözoğlu told Eurosport TR.
Fenerbahçe recently beat Galatasaray in the Intercontinental derby but slipped up last weekend against Gençlerbirliği, losing 2-1 against the Ankara based side.
The Yellow Canaries have the best home record in the league but Beşiktaş have the best record on the road this season.
The Black Eagles would move seven points clear of Fenerbahçe with a win against the Canaries on Sunday.
Fenerbahçe could struggle to get back into the title race with a defeat against the Eagles.
The Canaries have won the league title 19 times while Beşiktaş have only won the Süper Lig on 13 occasions.
