Fenerbahce’s Gökhan Gönül passes late fitness test to face Akhisar

Fenerbahce’s Gökhan Gönül is expected to be included in the starting line-up which faces Akhisar Belediyespor tonight in the final game of the 21st round of the Turkish Super Lih.

The Turkish international passed late fitness test at the Can Bartu training facility this afternoon and has been cleared as fit to play by the clubs physio’s according to the Turkish newspaper Fanatik.

The Yellow Canaries have the chance to overtake Besiktas and Galatasaray to move into first place if they record a win at home.

Fenerbahce will be looking to build upon their 5-0 victory last weekend against an Akhisar who have won just once in their last 15 games.

Roberto Carlos’s team have lost seven games in a row away from home but will be in good spirits following last weekends victory over Erciyesspor.

Akhisar currently sit in 14th place with 22 points in 20 games.
