Flamengo target Diego Ribas 'would be interested in a move back to Brazil' says agent

Fenerbahce playmaker Diego Ribas could be on his way out of the Istanbul based club this summer following a disappoint season.

The 30-year-old joined the Yellow Canaries in the Summer on a free transfer but has failed to live up to the fans expectations.

The Brazilian giants Flamengo are one of the many clubs linked with Diego in recent weeks.

“Without doubt he would be interested in a move back to Brazil – it’s always good to return to your home country.” Diego’s agent and father Djair Ribas was quoted as saying by Sambafoot.

According to the Sun Newspaper, both Everton and Aston Villa are interested in signing the 30-year-old. The Brazilian international was part of the Atletico Madrid side which won the Spanish League and reached the UEFA Champions League final last season.

Fenerbahce find themselves in second place with 67 points in 31 games. The Yellow Canaries take on Mersin Idmanyurdu this weekend.

Diego has seven assists and four goals in 27 games in all competitions this season for Fenerbahce.
