Beşiktaş striker Demba Ba scored his 23rd goal of the season against Balıkesirspor on Sunday but it was not enough to secure a win as the Black Eagles drew 2-2.
Ba scored from the penalty spot to give Beşiktaş the lead on 35 minutes.
The Senegalese international has now scored four penalties in the league this season and five in total in all competitions.
The 29-year-old also became the leading goalscorer – alongside Bursaspor forward Fernandao – in the league following his 14th Süper Lig goal.
The former Chelsea striker is also the Eagles leading scorer in European competition and converted his penalty in the shoot out against Liverpool in the Europa League Round of 32.
Ba has a total of 23 goals and five assists in 31 appearances in all competitions since joining from Chelsea in the summer.
Beşiktaş had the opportunity to move one point behind league leaders Galatasaray but only closed the gap to three points following the 2-2 draw against Balıkesirspor.
