Beşiktaş’ Senegalese international striker Demba Ba scored his 27th goal of the season against Akhisar Belediyespor yesterday [Thursday] however, it was not enough to secure a win as the Black Eagles drew 1-1.
Akhisar took the lead from a well worked set piece early on in the first half. Ba scored a header from a corner to level the score in the 54th minute.
The 29-year-old is currently the second highest goalscorer in the Turkish Super Lig behind Bursaspor forward Fernandao who has scored 22 goals in the league.
Ba has a total of 27 goals and seven assists in 42 appearances in all competitions since joining from Chelsea in the summer.
