Former Chelsea striker Samuel Eto'o joins Antalyaspor

Antalyaspor have completed the signing of Samuel Eto’o according to Fanatik.

Club president Gültekin Gencer will fly out to Italy on a private jet provided by the foreign minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu to finalise the paperwork according to the report.

Eto’o joined Sampdoria from Everton last season and scored six times while providing five assists in all competitions last season for the Serie A outfit.

The 33-year-old striker has previously played for Chelsea, Anzhi, Inter and Barcelona.

Eto’o has won just about everything there is to win in club football including the Champions League and several league titles with Barcelona.

Antalyaspor were promoted to top-tier football at the end of the season and want to strengthen the squad with a number of high profile and experienced transfers.

The Antalya based club is also in the process of completing a new 40,000 seater stadium.

The New Antalya Stadium resembles a Mediterranean sea shell and football park will be developed next to it in addition to graining grounds for clubs during the winter break.
