Former Galatasaray & Liverpool winger Riera joins Real Mallorca

The former Galatasaray and Liverpool winger Albert Riera has joined the Spanish second division side Real Mallorca on a free transfer.

The 32-year-old Spanish international has signed a one and a half year deal with Mallorca.

Riera has been on trial at the Spanish club since January 27.

The 32-year-old was been released by Udinese after failing to make a single appearance for the Serie A outfit.

Riera joined Udinese from Galatasaray last March and spent the rest of the season on loan at Watford.

The former Spanish international joined Galatasaray on a €3 million move from Olympiacos in 2011 and went onto make 80 appearances for the Lions, winning the Super Lig title twice.

Riera has previous Premier League experience playing for Liverpool between 2008-10.
