The former Galatasaray striker Didier Drogba has stated that he will remain at Chelsea next season.
The 36-year-old told French television show Telefoot that he expects to still be among Chelsea’s playing staff next season.
Drogba has started only three Premier League games this season for Jose Mourinho’s side this term.
“Next season I’ll still be a Chelsea player,” Drogba told Telefoot.
“Of course, I would like to play more but I am not unhappy. Loic played another great match.”
Drogba joined Galatasaray on a free transfer from Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua in January 2012. The Ivory Coast international spent two seasons at Galatasaray and scored 20 goals in 53 games.
The powerful striker returned to Stamford Bridge last summer following spells with Shanghai and Galatasaray. Drogba has scored six goals in 27 appearances for Chelsea this season.
