The FA have banned Crystal Palace midfielder Mile Jedinak for four-games after charging the former Gençlerbirliği player on violent conduct for elbowing West Ham striker Diafra Sakho on Saturday.

The 30-year-old elbowed Sakho towards the end of the Premier League outfits 3-1 victory over West Ham at Upton Park.

The challenge was missed by the match officials at the time but caught on video, allowing the Football Association to take retrospective action.

Jedinak will miss games against Southampton, QPR and Manchester City and an away match against Stoke City.

The Australian international joined Crystal Palace on a free transfer from Gençlerbirliği in 2011.

Jedinak had a total of six goals and four assists in 43 appearances in all competitions for the Ankara based side while playing in Turkey.

The 30-year-old has a total of 10 goals and nine assists in 138 games for Crystal Palace in all competitions.
