The former Liverpool full back Jon Arne Riise has defended his comments over Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil.

The former Norway international went onto clarify is statement after receiving criticism from fans.

Arsenal beat Bayern Munich 2-0 at the Emirates on Champions League Match Day 3 yesterday.
The 27-year-old scored the Gunner’s second goal late on in the second half to secure all three points for Arsenal. Olivier Giroud gave his side the lead earlier on in the second half.
Özil made three key passes, took two shots on target and had a pass accuracy of 83%. The Germany international had 53 touches on the ball, made three interceptions and made 36 passes during the game.
The World Cup winner has now scored in his last two big games. Özil netted and provided an assist in the 3-0 win against Manchester United and scored against Bayern yesterday.
