Former Man Utd striker set to start in Fenerbahce's opening Europa League game

The former Manchester United striker Robin van Persie is set to start in Fenerbahce’s Europa League clash with the Norwegian side Molde.

The Netherland’s international has had a slow start to his Fenerbahce career but did score in their last Europa League qualification game against Astana.

Luis Nani is a doubt going into tonights game due to an injury, a decision regarding his fitness will be made closer to kick-off.

Vitor Pereira is expected to start with Kadlec and Mehmet Topal in defence while Volkan Sen, Alper Potuk and Ozan Tufan could be in line for their first start’s of the season.

Fenerbahce were drawn in Group A alongside Ajax, Celtic and Molde.
