Former QPR forward Eduardo Vargas in talks with Trabzonspor

The Chilean international Eduardo Vargas could be on his way to Trabzonpsor according to Eurosport.

The sports website state that the Black Sea Based side are in talks with Napoli over loaning the 25-year-old for the season.

Vargas has two-year remaining on his contract with Napoli and spent the past season on loan at QPR.

Trabzonspor are in the market for a new forward after offloading Majeed Waris and having placed Mustapha Yatabare on the transfer list.

Eurosport go into state that Trabzonspor have set aside €2.5 million per season for the Chile international.

Vargas has previously also played for Valencia, Gremio, Universidad de Chile and Cobreloa.

The 25-year-old has two assists and scored three goals in 22 appearances for QPR last season. Vargas was part of the Copa America winning Chile side earlier this summer.

Trabzonspor take on Bursaspor in their opening game of the 2015-16 Turkish Super Lig season on Saturday.
