Former QPR midfielder Mbia arrives in Turkey to sign for Trabzonspor

Cameroon international Stephane Mbia has arrived in Turkey ahead of completing his move to Trabzonspor.

Mbia was greeted by fans at the Trabzon airport despite arriving at midnight.

The 29-year-old is expected to sign on a three-year deal with the Black Sea Storm after undergoing a medical today.

Mbia was free to talk with other clubs as his contract with Sevilla expires at the end of the month.

Trabzonspor will sign the experienced midfielder on a free transfer if the move does go ahead as planned.

The Europa League winner has perviously played for QPR, Marseille, Rennes, FC Stande Rennes and Kadji Sports.

Mbia joined Sevilla on a free transfer last season and played an important role in the La Liga outfit winning the Europa League.

Mbia had two assists and seven goals in 34 appearances in all competitions for Sevilla this season.

Trabzonspor are currently managed by Ersun Yanal and finished last season in fifth place.
