Former Tottenham striker Adebayor offered to Galatasaray

Former Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor has been offered to Galatasaray according to the club director of football Cenk Ergün.

Adebayor is currently a free agent after being released by Spurs but has yet to find a new club.

The players agent has offered Adebayor to the Istanbul giants who are currently considering wether to make a move for the Togo intentional.

“Adebayor has been offered to us but we are yet to make a decision we will have to take a look at what has been put forward,” Ergün was quoted as saying by Fanatik.

Galatasaray are in the market for a striker as the Lions currently lack depth upfront. Adebayor would be able to play Champions League football should he join the Istanbul giants.

The experienced striker could however, face competition from newly promoted Antalyaspor who signed Samuel Eto’o over the summer. The Scorpions are doing well in the league but Galatasaray are likely to be the more attractive choice considering guaranteed European football and the likelihood of being involved in the title race this season.
