Former Trabzonspor striker Teofilo Gutierrez has been linked with the North London based side Tottenham.
Teofilo who currently plays for the Argentinian giants River Plate, is keen on a move to the Premier League.
“It is nice that important teams are interested. I hope it can become true,” Teofilo said.
Tottenham sent scouts to Argentina to watch the 29-year-old in action in his side’s clash against Velez Sarsfield last week.
The volatile striker has been valued at €7.5 million by his club.
Teofilo joined Trabzonspor in January 2010 for €1.4 million from Junior F.C. The Colombian international scored eight goals in 23 appearances for the Black Sea Storm.
The 29-year-old returned to Colombia without the permission of his club Trabzonspor. The Super League side subsequently accepted a €900k bid from the Argentinian side Racing Club.
Teofilo who featured for Colombia in the 2014 Wrold Cup has scored 11 goals in 16 appearances for River Plate this season.
