Former West Ham winger Vaz Te taking the Turkish Super League by storm
Akhisar Belediyespor’s Ricardo Vaz Te has been on red hot form since joining the Turkish Super Lig side in January.
Vaz Te joined Akhisar from West Ham United on a loan deal which expires at the end of the season.
The 28-year-old forward has two assists and three goals in six games for Akhisar since joining. The Portugal U21 international scored for Akhisar in their 2-1 victory at the Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium.
Vaz Te also scored a brace in Akhisar’s 3-0 win over Gaziantepspor on Sunday.
Akhisar are coached by former Real Madrid and Brazil national team legend Roberto Carlos.
The World Cup winner took over a side in crisis but has managed to guide Akhisar into 11th place on 32 points – 12 points clear of the relegation zone.
