Galatasaray are the best supported club in Turkey according to Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger.
“We’ll go with a strong team of course, we want to win the game,” Wenger was quoted as saying on the official Arsenal website.
“Galatasaray is a massive club in Turkey. They certainly have the biggest support in Turkey. They had a difficult start to the season and in this group they cannot even get Europa League.
“It’s a massive surprise because I thought they would be one of the contenders to go through. Let’s not forget that last year they knocked Juventus out when they qualified from the group stage, so it is a surprise.”
Galatasaray are last in Champions League Group D going into Match Day 6 with just one point from their last five games.
The Lions cannot progress to the Last 16 or the Europa League and will finish the group in last place.
Despite being out of the competition recently appointed manager Hamza Hamzaoğlu will take charge of his first Champions League game and underlined that the team will be taking the game seriously.
