Galatasaray have ended their pursuit of Bursaspor’s centre back Serdar Aziz.
“Galatasaray’s pursuit of Serdar Aziz ended half an hour ago.” Aziz’s agent Haluk Canatar was quotes as saying by Eurosport TR.
Galatasaray were willing to part company with Gökhan Zan, Yekta Kurtuluş, Umut Gündoğan, Lucas Ontivero and Aydın Yılmaz in exchange for Bursaspor’s 24-year-old centre back.
The Lions have been trying to bring in an additional defender following injuries to Semih Kaya, Koray Gunter and the absence of Aurelian Chedjou due to international duty with Cameroon at the African Cup of Nations.
The 24-year-old scored in Turkey’s Euro 2016 qualifier against Kazakhstan on his international debut last November.
The highly rated defender has made a total of 128 appearances for the Green Crocodiles since rising through the ranks of the youth team to the senior side and still has three-years remaining on his contract.
