Galatasaray have re-entered the race to sign Inter Milan’s towering centre back Andrea Ranocchia.

The Turkish newspaper Fanatik have stated that the Istanbul Giants are preparing a offer for the Italy international. The daily sports paper goes onto say that Ranocchia is looking for a move away from the Serie A club after losing his place in the starting line-up.

Liverpool are also interested in signing Ranocchia according to Tuttomercatto. Following injuries to Dejan Lovren and Martin Skrtel, Klopp wants to move swiftly and plug the gap with the 27-year-old.

Ranocchia, is struggling to get regular first-team football at San Siro under Roberto Mancini and is expected to leave during the January transfer window.

Sampdoria are also involved in the race for Inter Milan’s experienced defender according to TalkSport.

Ranocchia, a former Inter captain, joined the Nerazzurri from Genoa in 2011 and has made 166 appearances for the club.
