Galatasaray have been locked in talks with Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva over the past 48 hours with Lions sporting director Levent Nazifoglu revealing all that remains for the transfer to go ahead is the player reaching a decision.

The Lions have given the 29-year-old midfielder 24 hours to make his final decision regarding Galatasaray’s offer.

Nazifoglu told us: “We spoke with Lucas Leiva last night and he asked us for another day before making his decision,

“The situation will be clearer by tonight.”

Fans of the Istanbul giants as well as Liverpool supporters took to social media to voice their opinion on the matter – here are some of the best Tweets we found.

Oh look Lucas tweeted a message out… be honest did you fall for it?

Apparently he was seen in Nando’s…

The same guy apparently saw him in a Galatasaray pyjamas in Matalan.

Safe to say Galatasaray fans are pretty excited about the prospect of Lucas joining.

Lucas could be in store for some Darius Vassell treatment at the airport if he does make the move.

More fan love.

A bit of aggression here!

Could ‘sweet Prince’ end up being his nickname?

This is the kind of atmosphere he would be in for at Galatasaray if he does decide to leave.
