Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe are expected to make bids for Akhisar defender Uğur Demirok over the winter break.
Fenerbahçe want to replace Bruno Alves who is expected to leave during the transfer window.
Galatasaray are also in the market for a defender and manager Hamza Hamzaoğlu has close ties with Demirok following his spell in charge at Akhisar.
The 26-year-old defender has been in impressive form this season and played 71 Süper Lig games over the past 2.5 seasons.
Demirok’s agent recently confirmed interest from Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe.
The defenders agent Uğur Avadan said, “Uğur’s contract finishes at the end of the season. He has been performing well and has earned national team caps. The interest shown in him is normal and is to be expected.
“All of these clubs need a good quality Turkish centre back who is technically good with both feet and strong in the air.”
