Cesare Prandelli defended his record at Galatasaray following the 2-1 win over Karabükspor.

“We played against a very organised team,” Prandelli said following the game.

“I thought we played well but we still have a lot of room for improvement.

“There is always speculation, people like rumours this is part of the job. But the facts are the facts, Galatasaray have not won this many points in the last 10 years at this stage of the season.

“We are working very hard.

“Remember, speculation and rumours don’t win points, right now we are joint first.”

Prandelli also praised striker Umut Bulut who came on as a substitute and scored against Karabükspor.

“Umut is a first team player, whether he plays or doesn’t, starts or doesn’t he is always ready to do his part,” Prandelli said.

“He can have a huge impact on a game and we say that today, he is a very important player for us.”

Galatasaray have recorded their best start to a Süper Lig campaign since 2009 under Prandelli.
