Galatasaray may have been quite in the January transfer window but are already making preparations for the new season according to the Turkish newspaper Milliyet.
Galatasaray will be allowed more freedom in the market once several players whose contracts are up in the Summer leave the club.
Gignac’s contract with Olympique de Marseille expires at the end of the season. The report goes onto state that Galatasaray want to hold talks with the players agent in the near future rather than waiting until the end of the season.
The 20-year-old joined Marseille in August 2010 from Toulouse for €20 million. Gignac has been in prolific form scoring 16 goals in 24 games this season.
