Russian club Dynamo Moscow are also reported to be in talks with the powerful striker.

Galatasaray will be allowed more freedom in the market once several players whose contracts are up in the summer leave the club.

The Lions will also be able to sign additional foreign players with changes to the non-Turkish player ruling.

Gignac has been in prolific form scoring 18 goals in 31 games this season, but his contract runs out next summer and he is yet to sign a new deal.

Galatasaray official Cenk Ergün recently confirmed that Galatasaray were interested in Gignac over the winter transfer window.

“Galatasaray want Gignac but will need to make way for him by getting rid of a foreign player,” Ergün said.

The 29-year-old joined Marseille in August 2010 from Toulouse for €20 million.
