Galatasaray not interested in renewing Sneijder’s deal says agent

Wesley Snijder’s agent Guido Albers has stated that Galatasaray are not interested in extending his clients contract.

This contradicts reports surfacing in the Turkish media this morning that the club were preparing to offer a contract extension to the Netherlands international.

Albers spoke about Sneijder’s situation to the Dutch football website Elfvoetbal

“I do not understand why Sneijder has been left on the bench in recent weeks. People are criticising Prandelli’s decisions,” Albers said.

“Galatasaray do not seem very interested in extending my clients contract. We will hold a meeting with Galatasaray once again on Wednesday.”

The Netherlands international joined Galatasaray from Inter in 2013 for €8 million.

The 31-year-old lead Galatasaray to Turkish Cup glory last season and played an important role in Galatasaray reaching the Champions League quarter-finals.
