Galatasaray president rules out move for Man Utd target Ibrahimovic

Galatasaray president Dursun Özbek has ruled out a move for PSG striker Zlaten Ibrahimovic.

“For Gods sake who keeps coming up with these rumours we have said countless times this is not going to happen,” Özbek said at the signing ceremony with new shirt sponsor Dumankaya İnşaat.

Rumours linking Galatasaray to the Swedish international surfaced again after his agent Mino Raiola claimed that 30 clubs are interested in the star striker who could be set to leave the French giants at the end of the season.

“I know that there are 30 clubs telling me that, ‘If he wants to sign for us, we’d be very happy’,” Raiola said in an interview with French radio station RMC.

“He’s better than anybody; better than Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi.”

Galatasaray were reported to have entered talks with PSG over the transfer of Ibrahimovic over the summer but the deal fell through after the Lions failed to match his wage demands.

Manchester United are one of the 30 clubs to be closely linked with the powerful striker according to the Express. The report claims that the Red Devils are interested in a temporary move.

Galatasaray are currently second in the Turkish Super League just one point behind leaders Beşiktaş who could extend their lead to four points with a win against Kasımpaşa in the mini-Istanbul derby today.
