Galatasaray reach agreement in principle with Hamza Hamzaoglu [divider]
Galatasaray have reached an agreement in principle with Hamza Hamzaoğlu according to board member Ali Dürüst.
“We have severed ties with Cesare Prandelli,” Dürüst revealed.
“Claudio Taffarel will be in charge for the Gaziantepspor game and we have reached an agreement-in-principle with Hamza Hamzaoğlu.”
Galatasaray have been on the hunt for a new manager since firing former Italian national team manager Prandelli yesterday.
Hamzaoğlu has previously coached Akhisar in the Turkish Super League. The former Galatasaray manager also confirmed that he had been approached by Galatasaray.
“I have met with Galatasaray however, no official offer has been made,” Hamzaoğlu said to local reporters.
Hikmet Karaman and Tugay Kerimoglu have also been linked with the vacant Galatasaray job.
Galatasaray are currently in third place in the Super League with 19 points from 10 games.
