Galatasaray received a £10 million bid for Burak Yilmaz over the summer transfer window according to club president Dursun Özbek.

The Metro reported that West Ham United had agreed personal terms with the Turkish international before the transfer deadline.

The report claims that the prolific striker has agreed to a £6.4 million deal with the Hammers.

Slaven Bilic knows Yılmaz well from his time coaching Istanbul rivals Beşiktaş over the past two seasons.

The Premier League outfit were in the transfer market for a striker following injury to forwards Enner Valencia, Mauro Karate and Andy Carroll.

Galatasaray sold Felipe Melo and Alex Telles to Inter Milan on transfer deadline day which ended on 30 August 2015 in Turkey this season.

The Istanbul giants brought in Real Madrid youngster Jose Rodriguez, Lukas Podolski from Arsenal and Manchester City defender Jason Denayer over the summer.
