Galatasaray return to Istanbul

Galatasaray have returned to Istanbul to continue their preparations for the second half of the Turkish Super League season after completing their five day training camp in Antalya.

The Lions participated in the International Royal Cup last week along with Beşiktaş, River Plate and Brazilian side Guaratingueta. Galatasaray came third in the competition which was won by Besiktas.

Manager Hamza Hamzaoglu has given his players a days rest before they continue preparations at the Florya training facility tomorrow.

Galatasaray striker Burak Yılmaz as well as defenders Semih Kaya and Koray Günter have all suffered injuries following the Royal International Cup tournament.

Kaya picked up an injury in the third minute of the 3rd place game, against Neymar Institute and had to have a support band strapped around his knee.

Yılmaz suffered an injury in the opening game of the friendly tournament against River Plate.

Galatasaray who will also be without Aurélien Chedjou going into the second half of the season as he is representing Cameroon at the Africa Cup of Nations.
