Galatasaray are set to offer Chelsea legend John Terry a 1.5 year deal according to the Akşam newspaper.

The report claims that the Lions will want to add an experienced defender to their ranks and that they will be making an offer for the England international whose contract runs out at the end of the season.

Chelsea have yet to renew Terry’s contract and Galatasaray would not only be able to match his current wages but potentially offer Champions League football as well.

Terry has only ever played for Chelsea in his career and a move to Galatasaray would be his first stint abroad.

The experienced defender has been criticised for some of his performances this season and his position in the team has looked vulnerable at times.

The 34-year-old has won four Premier League titles, five FA Cup trophies, the Champions League and the Europa League over the course of his career.

Galatasaray are currently in fourth place and managed by Mustafa Denizli.
