Galatasaray are preparing an offer for Liverpool defender Glen Johnson according to Eurosport TR.

The Lions are reported to be considering making an offer worth €2.5 million per-season for the England international.

Johnson can enter direct talks with other clubs with his contract set to run out at the end of the season and he has confirmed interest from foreign clubs.

“No talks. At this point I have no idea [where I will be next season]. I haven’t thought about it,” Johson was quoted as saying in the Guardian.

“There are talks. It would be great for the kids to go abroad but I am not thinking about yet as we have two months left here and I’ll think about it after that. We will have to wait and see.”

The 30-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season but talks with Liverpool have stalled and a new deal with the Reds looks unlikely.

Johnson lost his place in the Liverpool side after head coach Brendan Rodgers switched to a 3-4-2-1 formation.

The England international made his first start in 12 games in the goalless draw against Blackburn Rovers in the FA Cup quarter-final draw at Anfield.

Galatasaray are planning to strengthen their right-back position over the summer.

The Istanbul giants are expected to part ways with right-back Emmanuel Eboue at the end of the season. The experienced right-back has been left out of the team all season.

The Lions have been fielding former reserve team player Sabri Sarıoğlu as right-back and £4 million summer signing Tarık Çamdal has failed to impress.
