Galatasaray are planning to part ways with summer signing Goran Pandev according to Eurosport Turkey.

Pandev will be able to enter direct talks with other clubs this January with his contract set to expire at the end of the season.

The Macedonian international joined Galatasaray from Napoli this summer on a one-year deal worth €2.4 million.

Pandev moved to Napoli from Inter in 2011 and scored seven goals and provided seven assists in his 29 Serie A appearances last season.

The 31-year-old has struggled to settle in at Galatasaray and his performances have been criticised by sections of the Turkish press and Galatasaray fans.

Pandev had been linked with a move back to the Serie A to join Fiorentina in the Turkish press but his agent denied the rumour.

The 31-year-old is yet to score in 5 appearances in all competitions this season.

Galatasaray are planning to reduce their mounting wage bill this January and aim to offload some of their under-performing big earners.

Engin Baytar is also expected to leave in January, the 31-year-old makes €900,000 per-season.

Baytar fell out of favour at Galatasaray following a poor disciplinary record and sharing videos on vine throwing his money around.
