Galatasaray striker Burak Yilmaz returns to the starting XI
Galatasaray striker Burak Yilmaz has returned to the starting XI after being given the all clear by the clubs medical team.
The Turkish international will start up front for Galatasaray in thier Ziraat Turkish Cup clash against Konyaspor tonight at the Turk Telekom Arena.
Hamza Hamzaoğlu left Yılmaz out of the squad which faced Eskisehirspor last week due to the pitch conditions at the Eskişehir Atatürk stadium.
Yılmaz initially sustained an injury in the International Royal Cup friendly tournament during the winter break.The Turkish international was recommended to rest by the team doctors but Yılmaz urged Hamzoğlu to let him play against Rizespor two weeks ago.
Galatasaray beat Rizespor 2-0 but Yılmaz ended up getting injured three minutes after his introduction to the game.
The Turkish international has a total of 13 goals for the Lions this season including 11 Süper Lig goals making him the third highest scoring player in the league after Oscar Cardozo (12) and Fernandao (13).
