The Lions are currently in talks with Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva and are expected to receive a decision from the Brazilian midfielder over the next 24 hours.
Galatasaray will seek an alternative if Lucas does not sign for the club and have Manchester United midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger listed as potential alternative.
The Istanbul giants also recently strengthened their coaching staff bringing in former Manchester United goalkeeping expert Frans Hoek to replace Claudio Taffarel.
