Galatasaray took to Twitter to wish their former striker Didier Drogba happy birthday.
The Lions shared an image of Drogba wearing a Galatasaray shirt alongside the caption, “Happy Birthday Drogba.”
The Ivory Coast international turned 37 today and featured in Chelsea’s Champions League Last 16 second-leg tie against PSG.
Drogba did not however, have a lot to celebrate footballing wise as the Blues were knocked out of the competition on away goals.
The powerful striker joined Galatasaray on a free transfer from Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua in January 2012. The Ivory Coast international spent two seasons at Galatasaray and scored 20 goals in 53 games.
The 37-year-old won the Süper Lig, Turkish Cup and reached the quarter-final of the Champions League while at the Lions.
Drogba returned to Stamford Bridge last summer following spells with Shanghai and Galatasaray.
The Ivory Coast international has scored six goals in 28 appearances for the Blues this season.
