Galatasaray's Felipe Melo hints at Serie A return

Galatasaray’s defensive midfielder Felipe Melo has hinted that he may return to the Italian Serie A at the end of the season.

The Brazilian international was asked if he would like to play in Italy by La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“I would like to return to Italy one day,” Melo stated.

“I still have a house in Torino and travel to Milan frequently. My family were very happy in Italy.”

Melo recently returned to training after recovering from a hernia operation.

Melo missed the Trabzonspor derby two weeks ago and was also sidelined for the clashes against Gaizantepspor and Akhisar Belediyespor.

The 31-year-old joined the Istanbul giants on a permanent deal from Juventus worth £3 million last summer after playing the previous two seasons on loan at the Lions.

Melo has lifted the Süper Lig title and the Turkish Cup since moving to Turkey.
