Galatasaray’s centre back Semih Kaya is set to return to the starting line-up after a 40 day spell on the sidelines due to injury.

Kaya was fit to play last weekend however, manager Hamza Hamzaoglu did not want to risk the young centre back and allowed him another weeks rest.

The young centre back sustained an injury in the International Royal Cup friendly tournament during the winter break.

Kaya missed Galatasaray’s games against Bursaspor, Eskisehirspor, Balikesirspor and Sivasspor.

The Turkish international also missed Galatasaray’s 4-1 victory over Konyaspor in the Turkish Cup.

Kaya is expected to replace Koray Gunter in defence for this weekends game.
