Gaziantepspor deserved a point says Hamit Altıntop [divider]
Galatasaray midfielder Hamit Altıntop thought Gaziantepspor were tough opponents following the Lions 1-0 win over the Falcons.
“We have been in turmoil, we lost our last game against Trabzonspor and lost our manager, both of these events really hurt our morale,” Altıntop.
“Gaziantepspor were tough opponents today, you could even say they deserved one point.
“Our aim is still winning the league but we cannot really afford to drop any more points if we are to achieve our goal.
“Hopefully the arrival of Hazma will help improve our performances, we will know how to motivate us, he knows the language and how football works over here.
“We are not a bad team, we have dominated Turkish football over the last few seasons.
“We need to start living up to our reputation if we are to win the fourth star.”
Altıntop joined Galatasaray for £3 million move from Real Madrid in 2012 and has two years left on his contract.
