Gaziantepspor lost 1-0 against Başakşehir in a tightly contested game played at the Fatih Terim stadium.

The Falcons manager Okan Buruk congratulated his opposition for their victory but underlined his side must defend set-pieces better.

“There was not many chances for either side so to concede from a set-piece was unfortunate but he have to defend them better in the future,” Buruk told Turkish-football.com reporters after the game.

Buruk underlined that his side must look forward now and focus on the Kasımpaşa game next week.

“We have to move on now, we will learn from our mistakes and focus on the Kasımpaşa game,” he added.

The loss put an end to the Falcons three match win streak on the road.

Gaziantepspor remain in 8th place following the defeat but could drop into 9th place if Kasımpaşa beat Trabzonspor this week.

Başakşehir moved up into 4th place in the table following the home win and recorded their 12th clean sheet of the season.
