Genclerbirligi deserved win against Fenerbahce says Mesut Bakkal [divider]
Gençlerbirliği deserved to beat Fenerbahçe according to the Ankara based clubs head coach Mesut Bakkal.
Bakkal’s side beat the Yellow Canaries 2-1 at the 19 Mayis stadium on Sunday.
“We put on a good performance, we could have actually scored more as we missed some key chances but I do believe we deserved the win,” Bakkal told Lig Tv after the game.

The win was Gençlerbirliği’s second consecutive league victory and took the Ankara based side up into eighth place on 32 points.
The Ankara based side will take on Başakşehir in Istanbul on the weekend.
Başakşehir are undefeated in their last seven home games but Gençlerbirliği have won their last two consecutive away games in the Süper Lig.
The Istanbul based side are currently fourth in the Süper Lig on 40 points and drew 2-2 with Galatasaray on the weekend.
Gençlerbirliği had been tipped as relegation candidate at the start of the season but Bakkal’s side are currently 12 points off the drop zone.
