Gokhan Tore gave Netherlands problems says Wesley Sneijder [divider]
Netherlands international captain Wesley Sneijder underlined that Gökhan Töre gave his side problems in the Euro 2016 Group A game on Saturday.
Turkey held the Netherlands to a 1-1 draw and Töre played a key role in the lead up to the Crescent-Stars goal.
“Gökhan Töre really gave us problems, he was difficult to contain and was always a threat on the break,” Sneijder told Fanatik.
Netherlands remained in third place on seven points following the draw while Turkey missed the opportunity to overtake the Dutch.
Sneijder and Töre both play in the Süper Lig for Galatasaray and Beşiktaş, respectively.
The Netherlands international joined Galatasaray from Inter in January 2013 and has a total of 30 goals and 14 assists in 93 games for the Lions.
Töre has scored a career high nine goals this season and provided 10 assists in all competitions for the Black Eagles.
The Turkish international joined Beşiktaş from Rubin Kazan for £4 million this summer and has four-years left on his contract.
