BBC football commentator Guy Mowbray has praised the way Emre Can has settled into the Liverpool defence this season.
“Emre Can has fitted in seamlessly into the Liverpool back three,” Guy Mowbray said speaking on the BBC ahead of the Liverpool – Manchester United Premier League clash.
Liverpool have kept 11 clean sheets in the Premier League this season and Can has featured in 9 of them.
The Reds have kept eight clean sheets in their last 11 games with the 21-year-old starting in the back-three.
Liverpool have not actually lost a Premier League game in which Can has started in defence this season.
Can has settled in with Martin Skrtel and Mamadou Sakho and formed a sturdy defensive partnership in the back-three.
The 21-year-old is expected to start against Manchester United.
Liverpool will take on fourth placed Manchester United at Anfield today.
The Reds are currently two points behind United and would move into fourth place with a win.
